BackerKit Pledge Manager News! (It'll be out in a couple of days!)

Oh no! I almost missed the June update! But not quite, it's still June for a little while. (I'm cutting it really close for you Australians, though.) I was working frantically on the BackerKit stuff and the month left me behind before I knew it.
The BackerKit pledge manager is now all set up, and BackerKit is looking it over to make sure I didn't make any terrible mistakes. Once they say it's ok, (it might take a couple of days) I'll send out the smoke test emails. That just means that we'll send out a small percentage of each level's emails, and if nothing catches fire, we'll know all is well. We'll then send out the rest.
I've spent a lot of time on the shipping tables, and tried to keep shipping as reasonable as possible while still making sure I have the means to pay for it. I apologize in advance for the high shipping that seems to plague the World at the moment. It's astonishing. I really did do my best!
Oh, I also gave in to the requests and added a whole bunch of back issues, including a few Collector's Hardcovers that I found. We're also doing a few bundles, and I found some leftover Envelopes of Madness from earlier campaigns, so those are in there too.
I'll post again when the emails are going out. Thanks everyone for your patience!

THE PDF PILE LINKS HAVE GONE OUT!

As of late last night, all of our $10 and up backers have been sent an email with their personalized download link for the Girl Genius Exorcism Engines PDF Pile. Because we are using DriveThruComics for the distribution, the email will come from the following address: DriveThruComics.com ([email protected])
I realize that this may find its way into some spam folders, so I give you this warning in case you need to mount a rescue expedition.
HOW IT WORKS:
The email with the link will be sent to the email address you used for this Kickstarter campaign, unless you used our form to specify otherwise. I updated every one of those by hand and double checked, so all should be well there.
As with our past Kickstarters, the link in the email will take you to DriveThruComics, where the title will be entered into your shopping cart with the price set to zero.
Just finish checkout, and, when you get to the page that says: “Your Order is Complete” be sure to click the “download,” or “DropBox” link to the right of the page. If you click on the book title itself, it will take you to info page in the catalog, which has tripped people up once or twice.
You will need to make an account on DriveThru when you check out. Don't worry, they won't charge you anything. It's a free account, and it's very handy in case you lose your files. You'll also have access, through your account, to any updated versions I may release later, for instance, when I get around to making "premium" (fancy high resolution) and "compact" (low res for fast viewing) versions of the earlier volumes. When you see the premium and compact choices on later volumes like GG20, you'll know what I mean.
I hope to have the BackerKit pledge manager up and running sometime next week. I'll keep you updated!
I'm sorry I took longer than I'd have liked to post this update, by the time I was done sending the emails last night I was completely wiped out. Also, among other things, this morning there was a big yellow jacket in the kitchen. Nothing got done until I removed her, which proved a little dicey. Fortunately, I prevailed unscathed. Adventures!

This was an amazing campaign, and I'm very happy that everything has gone so well. Thank you so much to everyone who has backed the campaign, and helped us spread the word! We had a few surprises toward the end, the PDF Pile went crazy, it now contains Volume 20 along with Volumes 1-14! I'm already working on the next stage of the campaign: getting the books printed and figuring out the quickest way to ship them to you. I'm currently embroiled in the exciting adventure that is changing the page numbers at the bottom of the older volumes to match the nice ones in the later volumes. Whee! It'll be worth it though. Easy to read page numbers are a very good thing.
At the bottom of the update you'll find download links to our latest "Thank You" wallpaper. I hope it amuses. But first, some information about BackerKit and the PDF Pile:
BackerKit
Shortly after the campaign ends, our backers will get a personalized email with a link to our Very Necessary Pledge Manager at BackerKit. Please be patient, it will take a couple of weeks for us to get everything finalized. We will post a new update here when our BackerKit page is live.
The BackerKit pledge manager is where you'll finalize your mailing address and shipping. This is also where you can order add-ons like extra books or Envelopes of Madness. If you aren't getting any physical rewards, you can ignore the pledge manager.
The PDF Pile
PDF links will be sent to the email address you backed with on the evening of Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
The PDFs will be provided via a personalized download link to DriveThruComics, which will be sent to the email address used in the campaign. You'll need to follow the link, make an account if you don't already have one, and finish the checkout process. The PDFs will be free, you won't be charged.
If you would like the complimentary PDFs to go to a different account than the one you backed the Kickstarter with, please fill out this form with the proper email address BEFORE THE END OF MONDAY, MAY 23, 2022.
I'll go into my spreadsheet and change the recipient email by hand before I send the comps on Tuesday evening. Please be advised that this is a BUNDLE I'm sending out, and this is an experiment! I'm already expecting to get a bit hairy, so PLEASE be patient with me, and please don't ask me to send the comps out in bits and pieces.
NOTA BENE: This will not change the email address associated with your Kickstarter account, it will only affect where the PDFs go.

I've had a request for the artwork from the last update as a wallpaper. Nothing simpler, since it was the special "Thank You" wallpaper from Kings and Wizards! Rather than send everyone back to the old update from that campaign, I've just replicated it here. I hope you enjoy it! --Kaja

Greetings!
It’s the final week, and we’ve hit all the important stretch goals! Thank you, everyone!
Here’s a recap, because I think things have got a bit wild and I don’t want to be too confusing:
ADD-ONS, EXTRA BOOKS, AND BACKERKIT
Everything we’re offering this time will be available to add on in our BackerKit pledge manager. If you want extra books, Envelopes of Madness, or the new hardcovers, they’ll all be available to add to your pile of rewards in BackerKit. There is no need to guess and add extra funds here, you can do it later in the pledge manager. Don’t worry about our final Kickstarter number, we are already very pleased with it! If you want to help boost the Kickstarter total, tell your friends about what a great deal this particular campaign is, with all the bookplates and PDFs and whatnot!
When the campaign ends, there will be a week or so where we are setting things up behind the scenes. Then, our BackerKit pledge manager will open. You’ll get a personalized invitation via email, and you’ll follow that link to BackerKit, confirm your rewards, add more if you want to, and pay the difference. This is where shipping will be calculated and charged.
WHAT WE’RE PRINTING THIS TIME
We’re printing our latest comic collection Girl Genius Volume 20, The Exorcism Engines, in two editions: the regular softcover and our special first-printing “puffy” padded hardcover.
We’re also reprinting all the books we’re currently out of. That’s books 1, 2 and 5. In addition to the regular softcovers, we’ll also be making these books in a new standard hardcover edition. Unlike the “puffy” covers, which we only print a small run of when the book is new, we hope to keep these standard hardcovers in print for a long time to come.
We plan to begin releasing standard hardcovers of all the Girl Genius collections as the need to reprint the softcover books arises. Looking at the inventory, our next Kickstarter (for Volume 21) will most likely have stretch goals to reprint Volumes 3, 12 and 14. It depends on what we’ve run out of by then!
REWARDS: THE PDF PILE AND THE ENVELOPE OF MADNESS
THE PDF PILE!
We have a lot of great rewards this time! To start with, the reward for our “Photons Only” level has morphed from a single PDF of Vol. 20 into the mighty PDF PILE! And the PDF PILE reward has been extended to cover everyone at the higher levels! That means that everyone at the $10 and up levels will get not only their regular rewards but also the PILE which currently includes Volumes 1-6 and Volume 20.
THE ENVELOPE OF MADNESS!
The EoM, included with every level that contains a book, is really is mad this time, with FOUR signed bookplates, an art card, Student ID and a lovely set of bookmarks to match the books we’re printing. We’ve also hit the stretch goal for the Arch Nemesis cards, which means that every EoM will contain your arch-nemesis, randomly selected from a brand-new batch of 13 cards we’ve created for just this occasion! (I’ll have the full set of the Sparks and Monsters Arch-Nemeses up on DriveThruCards.com soon, this is a new group!)
